WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. –
The women's golf team will host the 18th-annual Lady Puerto Rico Classic at the Rio Mar Country Club River Course in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, on Feb. 9-11.
 
The Boilermakers are coming off an eighth-place finish at the UCF Challenge where they posted their best 54-hole tournament score of the season at 1-over par 865. Freshman Kan Bunnabodee was impressive in her collegiate debut, finishing the classic 1-under at 215 and in a tie for 21st in the individual standings. Senior Micaela Farah carded Purdue's lowest round of the season in Orlando, wrapping up the final 18 holes 3-under with a 69. Farah finished the challenge in tie for 28th with an even-par 216.
 
Bunnabodee and Farah will team up with junior Inez Wanamarta, sophomore Danielle du Toit and freshman Sifat Sagoo in Puerto Rico. Freshman Daniela Ballesteros will compete as an individual.

THE COURSE
The Lady Puerto Rico Classic will be played in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, for the 12th straight year. PGA legend Greg Norman designed the Rio Mar Country Club River Course along the Mameyes River. Married with the lay of the land, the island itself dictates the holes. The result is a course for all skill levels, full of native foliage, generous fairways and shallow bunkers. The River Course is par-72 and will play at a total of 6,164 yards.

PURDUE AT THE LADY PUERTO RICO CLASSIC
The Boilermakers have won their own event once, taking the team title in 2009 with Maria Hernandez winning medalist honors. Last season, Purdue was tied for third after the first and second rounds before slipping to seventh after the third day.
