Freshman Kerris Roberts and sophomore Camille Christopher earned the top-10 times in the 200-meter event, with the eighth and ninth-fastest times in Purdue history, respectively.

Additionally, the Boilermakers earned six more personal-record marks and recorded six top-10 finishes at a star-studded meet that featured seven top-25 women's teams and six top-25 men's squads. That includes four of the top-six women's teams and three of the top-seven men's teams in the nation.

"We had a lot of good things happen today," Purdue coach Norbert Elliott said. "This is a really hard competition for us, so it gives us a good measuring stick of where we are and where we need to go to get ready for the Big Ten Championships. I was quite pleased. It can be difficult for our kids to run on a banked track, because we do not train on one, but nonetheless we had some really good performances. We had some in the field as well, with high jumpers and long jumpers. We still have a lot of work to do, but we have time to get ready."

Roberts notched a time of 24.29 in the 200-meter event to best her PR of 24.24, set last weekend, which was the previous eighth-fastest time in program history. Christopher finished in 24.29, the ninth-fastest time in the school record books. Her time was 0.11 seconds faster than her PR of 24.40, set last season as Purdue's ninth-fastest time in the event.

Senior Janae' Moffitt earned the best overall finish for the Boilermakers on Friday, as she placed second on high jump. She notched a mark of 1.78 meters.

Senior Samson Colebrooke placed sixth in the 200-meter dash, in 20.98, while sophomore Justin Becker earned a personal-record time of 21.50 in the event to finish 17th.

Four more Boilermakers placed in the top-10 on Friday. Senior Asia Young (long jump, 5.92 meters) and sophomore Jessica Bray (pole vault, 4.07 meters) were ninth, while senior Jah Strange (long jump, 7.21 meters) and freshman Johnny Vanos (weight throw, 17.49 meters) placed 10th.

In the pentathlon and heptathlon, all four Purdue competitors earned at least one personal-record mark. In the pentathlon, freshman Jayla Ellis posted a PR in the 60-meter hurdles (8.65 seconds) and in the high jump (1.60 meters), while senior Rebecca Coan tied her PR in the 60-meter hurdles (8.94 seconds). In the heptathlon, sophomores Garrett Lee (60-meter dash, 7.40 seconds) and Isaiah Martin (high jump, 1.93 meters) set personal-bests.

Coan was 11th overall in the pentathlon, with 3,722 points, and Ellis was 13th, with 3,578. The heptathlon concludes on Saturday, with three events.
