WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Riding a three-match winning streak to open the 2020 campaign, the Purdue women's tennis team will face its toughest tests this weekend in Columbia, S.C., for the ITA Kickoff Weekend. The Boilermakers will compete for an auto bid to the National Team Indoor Championship in February.
Purdue will square off with No. 13 South Carolina on Saturday morning at 10 a.m., before a match Sunday against Wisconsin or Georgia Tech. The championship match will be held at 1 p.m., and the consolation will be played at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

The Boilermakers outscored opponents 18-3 last weekend to start the year 3-0. Purdue went 2-1 in doubles action. Ena Babic rolled at the top of the singles order with three wins, all in straight sets.
Newcomers Nathalia Wolf Gasparin, Csilla Fodor and Zeynep Naz Ozturk all posted perfect records in their first contests for Purdue.
South Carolina dropped their season-opening match at No. 8 NC State 6-1. Wisconsin will play its first match of the season on Saturday against Georgia Tech. Meanwhile, the Yellow Jackets enter the weekend with a perfect 6-0 record, including five shutouts.
