FULL SCHEDULE

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue softball head coach Boo De Oliveira is excited to release the 2020 game calendar, comprised of 56 games and 11 chances to catch the Boilermakers at Bittinger Stadium. The season is tabbed to begin Friday, Feb. 7, with the home opener set for March 27.

"We're excited to announce our 2020 schedule, which includes seven NCAA postseason teams," Oliveira said. "We have a good mix of high-caliber teams early in the season to prepare us for our challenging Big Ten play."

In addition battling 2019 NCAA tournament teams, Purdue will face five programs that ranked or received votes in the final 2019 USA Today/NFCA poll. Of those teams, Purdue softball will face four on the road while hosting Northwestern, which finished No. 14 in the national rankings after an NCAA Super Regional appearance.

"As a team, we've got talent and heart," Oliveira said. "This season will be an exciting one for Purdue softball."

Non-Conference Action
The Boilermakers are slated to kick off the season in Boca Raton, Florida, where they will return for the second consecutive year to the FAU Invitational. Purdue will face four opponents over the course of five games from Feb. 7 to 9.

Next, Purdue will travel back to Florida for the Madeira Beach Tournament, which will take place Feb. 14 to 15. Over the weekend, its foes will include Southern Illinois, which is coming off a 2019 NCAA tournament bid.

The road swing will continue with a doubleheader on Sunday, Feb. 16 in Clermont, Florida, for The Spring Games tournament before heading to Greensboro, North Carolina, the following weekend for the UNCG Invitational. The Boilermaker visit includes a pair of games against North Carolina, which received votes in the 2019 final poll.

Meanwhile, Purdue will face another Atlantic Coast Conference team in Virginia Tech the next weekend at the JU/UNF Spring Break Challenge in Jacksonville, Florida. Two of the five Boilermaker outings will be against the Hokies during the Feb. 28 to March 1 tournament.

Purdue closes the non-conference slate with weekends in Fort Collins, Colorado (Colorado State Classic) and Memphis (Tiger Classic) before the Big Ten season begins.

Big Ten Play
Purdue is set to face 2019 Big Ten Champion Michigan on the road to open conference action. The series will take place March 20 to 22 with a trio of afternoon starts.
Bittinger Stadium will host Maryland, Penn State, Northwestern and Indiana throughout the B1G season.

Purdue will compete against Maryland (3/27-29) and Penn State (4/3-5) in back-to-back weekends, while the series versus Northwestern (4/24-26) will stand as the final weekend at Bittinger. However, the final set of Purdue home games will come just days later as Indiana travels to West Lafayette for a midweek double-header on April 29.

The Big Ten Softball Tournament is scheduled for May 7 to 9 and will be hosted by Illinois at Eichelberger Field.

A year ago, the Boilermakers advanced to the B1G Quarterfinals before making a run in the NISC Regional Championship. Purdue closed out the 2019 season with a 34-29 record, its first 30-win season since 2015.

Season tickets are on sale for the Purdue softball home slate, with prices set at $30 for adults and $20 for youth. A full list of gameday promotions at Bittinger Stadium will be released at a later date.
