The Boilermakers improved to 2-0 in conference play on New Year's Eve with a 72-61 win over Wisconsin at Mackey Arena. Karissa McLaughlin and Dominique Oden powered the offense with 22 and 20 points, respectively. Oden joined the 1,500-point club as its 15th member, while Ae'Rianna Harris set the career defensive rebounds record, passing Lindsay Wisdom-Hyton's mark of 665 boards.
Mackey Arena has been a fortress for Purdue this season with a perfect 7-0 mark. The Boilermakers have shot 44% from the field and 41.4% from 3-point range at home. McLaughlin has topped the team with 15.6 points per game, while Harris and Oden have also averaged double-digit points.
