MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Ena Babic's run in the ITA Ohio Valley Regional came to an end on Saturday in the quarterfinals. The junior was the lone remaining Boilermaker in the main singles draw.
Babic faced No. 17-seeded Brindtha Ramasamy from Miami University, where she fell in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
Saturday also saw a host of Boilermakers compete in the singles consolation draw. Rookies Nikol Dobrilova and Csilla Fodor closed the weekend with wins. Dobrilova topped Aarushi Kakkar from Tennessee State, 6-3, 6-2. Fodor cruised in her match against Yunuen Elizarraras from East Tennessee State, 6-3, 6-3.
The Boilermakers will return to the court on Nov. 1 for the Finemark FGCU Collegiate Open in Ft. Myers, Fla.
