WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The No. 21 Purdue volleyball team concludes its four-match road swing with a Wednesday night contest at No. 16 Kentucky, Sept. 18. The Boilermakers and the Wildcats will go head-to-head at 7 p.m. ET with the match broadcasting live on ESPNU.

SERIES HISTORY
The Boilermakers and the Wildcats are tied 10-10 in their all-time series. Kentucky has claimed the last two meetings, including a NCAA Tournament sweep over Purdue in 2018. In the second-round contest, middle blocker Blake Mohler registered a match-best .625 clip on 10 errorless kills on 16 swings, while guiding the Boilermakers with eight blocks. Then-redshirt senior Sherridan Atkinson followed with nine kills, marking her first single-digit kill performance since Purdue's loss to Michigan on October 6.

- The 2019 Purdue volleyball team welcomes six freshmen to Holloway in Maddy Chinn, Emma Ellis, Madeline Koch, Megan Renner, Maddie Schermerhorn and Ava Torrance. Together the incoming group was ranked the 8th-best recruiting class in the nation by PrepVolleyball.
SCOUTING KENTUCKY
- Kentucky is coming off of a 2-1 showing for the third-straight weekend and sits 6-3 overall after hosting the annual Bluegrass Battle.
- In the Bluegrass Battle, Wildcats defeated Cleveland State (3-0) and Florida Gulf Coast (3-1), before dropping their first home match since 2017 to Indiana (2-3).
- The 2019 season marks Kentucky's 15th season under the direction of head coach Craig Skinner.
- Kentucky is currently led by senior Leah Edmond with 125 kills (3.91 kills per set). In the 2018 NCAA Tournament contest between Purdue and Kentucky, Edmond guided the Wildcats with 13 kills.
- Defensively, Kentucky has eight Wildcats with double-digit digs. Junior libero Gabby Curry, who recorded 18 digs against the Boilermakers last season, tops the group with 145 digs.
- Kentucky's efforts are guided by junior setter Lilley Madison with 365 assists on the year. She currently ranks 11th in the nation with 11.31 assists per set.
- Wednesday's match will mark Kentucky's fourth top-25 contest this season. In those matchups, the Wildcats defeated then-No. 23 Cal Poly and then-No. 15 Southern California, but fell to then-No. 15 Creighton.
