WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Head coach Greg Goff has announced information related to Purdue baseball's open tryouts process for the 2019-20 school year.
Purdue students interested in participating in open tryouts first need to visit the baseball offices on the third floor of the Mollenkopf Athletic Center for sign up and documentation requirements. There they will check-in with Sam Gibson in room 302 to file the necessary documents for the tryout.
Students need to check with Gibson in room 302 of Mollenkopf on Tuesday, Sept. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET.
The actual on-field tryouts will be held at Alexander Field on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 6 p.m.
Students need to be enrolled in a minimum 12 credit hours at Purdue's West Lafayette campus for the fall semester. Other requirements include...
• Bring proof of a medical physical by a physician within the last 12 months;
• Bring proof of sickle cell blood test results;
• Be registered through the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Center at EligibilityCenter.org
• Signing up with Gibson in Mollenkopf on Tuesday, Sept. 3
Failure to submit all required documentation on Sept. 3 will result in the student not being allowed to tryout.
The baseball offices on the third floor of Mollenkopf can be accessed via the stairwell or elevator near the south entrance of the building, which is adjacent to Holloway Gymnasium and Weist Plaza. Mollenkopf (1225 Northwestern Ave.) is located east of Ross-Ade Stadium and north of Mackey Arena, between Northwestern Ave. and John R. Wooden Drive.
Students will need to arrange their own transportation to Alexander Field for the Sept. 4 tryout.
