MINNEAPOLIS - Purdue men's tennis fell to Minnesota 6-1 on Friday at the Baseline Tennis Center.
Athell Bennett won at No. 1 singles, claiming a 6-1, 6-2 victory over No. 61 Josip Krstanovic for the only Boilermaker point.
Bennett paired up with Stephan Koenigsfest to defeat Jackson Alpeza and Stefan Milicevic 6-2 for Purdue's only doubles victory.
Koenigsfest pushed both sets to seven but still came up just short to Jackson Allen 7-5, 7-5.
Santiago Galan fought hard at the No. 6 spot pushing the first set to a close 7-6 before falling 7-6, 6-2 to Sebastian Vile.
Purdue (7-10, 1-5) will be back in action at Wisconsin on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
