WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - On the heels of the 2019 NFL Draft, nine Purdue football players were afforded opportunities to play at the next level.

Seven Boilermakers signed with organizations as undrafted free agents: center Kirk Barron (Miami Dolphins), quarterback David Blough (Cleveland Browns), kicker Spencer Evans (Chicago Bears), tight end Cole Herdman (Baltimore Ravens), safety Jacob Thieneman (New York Giants), wide receiver Terry Wright (Seattle Seahawks) and wide receiver Isaac Zico (Tennessee Titans).

Additionally, running back D.J. Knox will attend the Philadelphia Eagles' mini-camp and cornerback Antonio Blackmon has a tryout with the Bears.

Purdue had at least one player drafted every year from 1998 to 2018 and all but two dating to the AFL-NFL merger.

Purdue opens the 2019 season Aug. 30 at Nevada. The home opener is Sept. 7 against Vanderbilt. Season tickets may be purchased here.
