LINCOLN, Neb. - Purdue women's tennis snaps the losing streak earning their first conference victory on the road over Nebraska 4-3 in Lincoln, Neb. 

After a rough start, losing the doubles point the Boilermakers (6-11, 1-5) fought hard in singles to come out on top.

Finishing first in singles at the No. 3 spot, Seira Shimizu claimed victory over Jeannie Lozowski 6-2, 6-2.

The next Boilermaker point came from Alex Sabe at the No. 5 spot, where she defeated Jessica Aragon 6-4, 6-2.

No. 33 Silvia Ambrosio pushed the Boilermakers up one over the Cornhuskers with her victory over Vasanti Shinde 7-6 (3), 6-4. 

A tough loss for Caitlin Calkins against Marina Cozac 6-2, 5-7, 7-6(2) evened up the score 3-3. It all came down to one court. 

Zala Dovnik secured the Boilermaker win with a victory over Hayley Haakenstad 3-6, 7-6(6), 6-4.

The Boilermakers will be back in action Saturday to take on the Indiana Hoosiers at the Schwartz Tennis Center noon ET.
