Purdue women's tennis sophomore Ena Babic earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue women's tennis sophomore Ena Babic earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors for her performances against No. 24 Michigan and Wisconsin. 

Babic upset No. 36 Brienne Minor of Michigan 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 singles March 22. The win was Babic's first over a ranked opponent this season and highest-ranked opponent she has defeated in her collegiate career. She also posted a victory March 24, over No. 72 Lexi Kerberle of Wisconsin 6-3, 6-1.

Babic's last such upset was in 2018, when she defeated Mississippi's No. 62 Sabina Machalova 6-3, 6-4.

Babic is undefeated in Big Ten play this season, defeating players from Illinois, Northwestern, Michigan and Wisconsin, all at the No. 2 spot. 

Purdue is back in action Friday at Iowa. The match will begin at 6 p.m. ET.
