HARTFORD, Conn. -
The Purdue men's basketball team spent its Friday preparing for its Round of 32 matchup with defending National Champion Villanova, going through a practice and media session at the XL Center.

The Boilermakers and Wildcats will tip at 8:40 p.m. ET, from the XL Center on Saturday. The game will be televised by TNT with a national radio broadcast on Westwood One.

Purdue is looking for its third straight Sweet 16 appearance.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
1) Purdue is aiming for its third straight Sweet 16. The Boilermakers are one of five teams still playing to reach Sweet 16s in each of the last two years.
2) Purdue hasn't made three straight Sweet 16s since the 1998 to 2000 tournaments. The 2000 team reached the Elite Eight.
3) A win would give Purdue 25 wins for the fourth straight season, something accomplished once before in school history (2008 to 2011).
4) A 25th win would make Purdue the seventh active team with 25 wins in four straight seasons (Nova, Kansas, UNC, Gonzaga, Kentucky, Duke).
5) Purdue and Villanova COULD have met twice last year, before Purdue lost previous games in the Battle 4 Atlantis and NCAA Tournament.
