INDIAN WELLS, Calif. - The Purdue men's tennis team fell to Michigan 4-0 in the BNP Paribas Collegiate Open Tennis Challenge on Sunday.
In doubles, Mateo Julio and Maksymilian Raupuk fell to Patrick Maloney and Myles Schalet 6-1.
Santiago Galan and Franz Luna fell to Connor Johnston and Gabe Thisman 6-1.
Athell Bennett and Stephan Koenigsfest's unfinished doubles match was tied with Andrew Fenty and Mattias Siimar 4-4.
In singles play at the No. 1 spot, Julio took Siimar to the the tie breaker set both matches but fell just short 7-5, 7-5.
Bennett won his first set against Schalet 6-0 and led the third set 4-3 before leaving the match unfinished 6-0, 4-6, 4-3.
Raupuk took the first set 6-2, against Johnston before ending unfinished 6-2, 5-7, 1-1.
Luna won his second set against Maloney pushing the match into three sets, ending unfinished 3-6, 6-4, 0-4.
The Boilermakers (6-7, 0-2) will be back in action March 24 to take on Illinois at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
