WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Dan M. Ross, head professional and director of instruction at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex, has been named vice president of the Indiana Section PGA.
Ross, who spent the last two years as secretary, will serve as vice president for two years before being nominated for president in 2021.
The Indiana Section is one of 41 geographic sections that make up the PGA of America. Its members are experts in the ever-changing business of golf and are the leading players, teachers, skilled business managers, community leaders and superior merchandisers who have dedicated their careers to golf.
Ross, who joined the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex staff in 2004, was honored as the 2015 Golf Professional of the Year for Indiana and the 2018 Merchandiser of the Year for public golf courses. He has been a golf instructor since 1993 and a PGA member since 1995.
Ross teaches eight collegiate-level golf classes per semester called "Golf: For Business and Life," and has worked with thousands of Purdue students.

Memberships and Purdue Golf Savings Cards are on sale by calling the golf complex at 765.494.3139 or by emailing bbgc@purdue.edu. Annual memberships give patrons access to both of Purdue's championship-level courses designed by Pete Dye. The Purdue Golf Savings Card offers a chance to play the region's top golf courses at a reduced rate.
For 2019, Levy/Boilermaker Hospitality will oversee food and beverage operations at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex, featuring an improved menu and the same exceptional customer service that fans have come to expect at Purdue Athletics events.
The September 2018 issue of "Golf Week" ranked both courses on its list of Best Campus Courses - Kampen No. 13 and Ackerman-Allen No. 24 - making Purdue one of just three schools in the country with two among the top 30.
