WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue baseball's weekend series at Oral Roberts has been truncated to a three-game set and will now begin with a Friday doubleheader at 3 p.m. ET.

The weekend forecast in Tulsa calls for sub-30 degree temperatures and a chance of snow Sunday, so the series finale has already been canceled. It was originally scheduled to be a four-game series from Friday to Sunday with a Saturday doubleheader.

UPDATED SCHEDULE AT ORAL ROBERTS
• Friday, March 1: Doubleheader at 3 p.m. ET
• Saturday, March 2: Single Game at 3 p.m. ET
• Sunday, March 3: Game Canceled

Oral Roberts is planning to offer free video webcasts of the series.

Purdue is making its first-ever visit to the city of Tulsa, returning the trip after ORU visited Alexander Field for the May 15 midweek finale last season on its way to Fort Wayne for a Summit League series with the Mastodons. The Boilermakers won last year's meeting 7-6 and both teams went on to qualify for an NCAA Regional.

Purdue is also preparing for likely schedule changes next weekend at Creighton. The Bluejays already canceled their midweek home games vs. Northern Colorado on March 5 and 6 of next week.
