WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue softball team hits the road for its third tournament of the season as the Boilermakers visit Madeira Beach, Florida, for the Madeira Beach College Invitational.
In its first of four trips to Florida this season, the Boilermakers face Middle Tennessee, University of North Florida (UNF), Albany, South Dakota and Georgetown in five games over the span of three days.

The Blue Raiders come into the weekend at 5-5, with wins against Valparaiso, Grand Canyon, UC Santa Barbara and Northern Illinois. Leading Middle Tennessee at the plate is Lani Rodriguez, who currently owns a team-best .357 batting average. The freshman also leads the team with a .419 on-base percentage.

Standing at 4-4, the Ospreys have seen wins against Colgate, South Dakota State, Northern Iowa and College of Charleston. Guided by Dustie Durham and Jamie with batting averages of .528 and .485, respectively, the Coyotes have scored at least eight runs in six of its 10 games and registered double-digit hits five times.
