WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Big Ten Network will air a one-hour documentary on the 1999 Purdue women's basketball national championship team Thursday at 10 p.m. ET.
"Passion & Perseverance: 1999 Purdue Women's Basketball" debuts following the Boilermakers' game against Nebraska, which begins at 8 p.m. on BTN.
From a season-opening win over three-time defending champion Tennessee to cutting down the nets after defeating Duke in the title game, Purdue was the talk of women's basketball throughout the 1998-99 season. The Boilermakers finished with a 34-1 record and remain the only Big Ten Conference team to win a women's basketball national championship.
