Fall 2018 CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Compiling team grade-point averages above 3.0 during the 2018 fall semester again garnered Purdue swimming & diving a pair of Scholar All-America Team awards from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America.
The Purdue women ranked fourth among the 12 Big Ten teams recognized with a 3.41 GPA. It marks the third straight semester the Boilermakers' have had a team GPA above 3.40.
The Purdue men were among the seven teams recognized on the men's side of the Big Ten. They compiled a 3.01 team GPA this past fall.
The Purdue men and women consistently post team GPAs above 3.0 every semester to annually rank among the top squads in the Athletics Department in academic performance.
The CSCAA recognized a record 713 teams from 460 institutions in its Scholar All-America program for the 2018 fall semester. The teams were selected by the CSCAA's Scholar All-America committee on the basis of their fall grade-point averages and represent 16,502 student-athletes.
Academic All-Big Ten honorees for the winter sports season will be announced in March. Big Ten Distinguished Scholars and the CSCAA's individual Scholar All-Americans are announced in June.
