The Purdue men's tennis team aims for win No. 2 of the season Sunday at Drake.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's tennis team aims for win No. 2 after a strong 6-1 victory in its season opener against Toledo. The second victory will have to come on the road as the Boilermakers travel to Drake on Sunday.

Drake will play its first two matches of the season Friday against Northern Illinois and Tennessee Tech. Last year, the Bulldogs were 19-14 overall, including a 12-3 home record, while going undefeated in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Series History
With two strong victories the last two seasons, Purdue leads the all-time series with Drake 7-1. The last time the Boilermakers played in Des Moines, Iowa, was in 2016, when they fell to the No. 44 Bulldogs 5-2.

Boiler Notes
The Boilermakers struggled to find their rhythm away from the Schwartz Tennis Center last year, finishing with a 1-5 road record. However, four of the losses were to teams ranked No. 21 or better.
