WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Over the past 10 weeks, Purdue has wrestled nearly 300 matches, but they all have been on the road, logging close to 5,000 miles. That all changes Friday. The 17th-ranked Boilermakers will make their Holloway Gymnasium debut against Maryland at 6 p.m. ET.
On Wednesday's Purdue Wrestling Show, head coach Tony Ersland talked about the excitement of finally wrestling at home and broke down the probable matchups with host Hunter Massingill.

SERIES HISTORY
In a series that dates to Jan. 17, 2010, Friday's dual marks just the fifth time Purdue and Maryland have met on the mat ... the Terrapins won in 2010 and 2012 prior to joining the Big Ten Conference ... the Boilermakers posted commanding wins in back-to-back seasons, winning 32-6 in Maryland's first trip to West Lafayette on Jan. 17, 2016, and 29-6 when they visited College Park on Jan. 20, 2017.

• Friday's dual marks the latest first home dual in 19 years ... the 1999-2000 squad did not wrestle on its own mat until Jan. 13, upending No. 12 Penn 18-16.
• Purdue checked in at No. 17 on this week's NWCA Division I Coaches Poll ... the Boilermakers have been ranked in all 10 polls issued this season and have appeared in 24 consecutive polls dating to Nov. 14, 2017.
• At least four Purdue wrestlers have been listed in all 10 editions of this season's national rankings ... six different wrestlers have been ranked at least once ... three have been in the top 10 at least once: Griffin Parriott (157) spent four weeks at No. 9; Dylan Lydy (174) had two weeks at No. 10; and Christian Brunner (197) spent one week at No. 10 and moved to No. 9 the following week ... Lydy has been ranked since Dec. 5, 2017, a span of 23 polls.
• Purdue has used six different lineups in its seven duals ... 125-pounder Devin Schroder has been the first Boilermaker up six times ... the outlier was the Iowa dual starting at 197.
• Ben Thornton has started 45 of 56 possible duals during his career, owning a dual record of 31-14 ... Nate Limmex has started 36 of 39 possible duals in his 2.5 seasons with combined dual record of 21-15 ... the NC State dual (12/29) was the first time in Lydy's career he was not in the starting lineup ... prior to that he had started 36 consecutive duals ... Lydy is 23-14 while wrestling in 37 of a possible 39 duals since 2016-17.
• Thornton is averaging a team and career high 8.6 points per match ... the redshirt senior also sports career highs in shutouts with seven and bonus point wins with eight (4 MD, 4 TF) ... Thornton is the team leader in point differential at +107 (129-22) ... he has owned the riding time in 12 of his 15 matches and has not surrendered the riding time point this season.
• Lydy has only given up five takedowns through 19 matches and Thornton has only been taken down six times through 15 matches ... the pair ranks 1-2 among Purdue wrestlers with 15-or-more matches this season.
• With nearly every win, Schroder climbs on both the season and career back points top-20 lists ... the redshirt sophomore came out of South Beach Duals with 20 back points, good to rank 15th on the season list with 84 and eighth on the career list with 204.
• Schroder has gained company on the career back points list with Thornton jumping in at No. 18 with 136 and Brunner at No. 19 with 134.
• Thornton is eight wins shy of joining Purdue's top 20 in career wins (88) ... the redshirt senior's career record is 80-43.
