WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Over the last three seasons, the Purdue football program has seen its home attendance grow nearly 50 percent, tops in the country - from 34,451 to 51,120.

Purdue was the only school to see its average increase by 3,000 fans from both 2016 to 2017 (nation-best 13,433) and from 2017 to 2018 (3,236).

This season, the Boilermakers attracted two capacity crowds of 60,716 at Ross-Ade Stadium - for the Ohio State and Iowa games - a first since 2007. Purdue's home attendance average was its highest since the 2008 season.

Purdue students accounted for 10,000 of the Boilermakers' 30,176 total season-ticket sales.

Purdue completed the 2018 regular season with a 6-6 overall record and a 5-3 Big Ten Conference mark, its first winning conference campaign since 2006 and good for a second-place tie in the West Division (with Iowa and Wisconsin). It marked the Boilermakers' highest finish since divisional alignment began in 2013.

Purdue is preparing to play Auburn in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl in Nashville on Dec. 28. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. ET (12:30 p.m. local time), and the game will be televised by ESPN.

For the Music City Bowl, Purdue has accounted for 11,000 tickets - 3,000 more than the bowl's original allotment - assuring the Boilermakers of their largest bowl game crowd since 20,000 Purdue fans attended the 2004 Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Florida.
