Purdue earned its third win this season against an AP Top 25 ranked opponent. It is the first time since 2003 that Purdue has defeated three ranked teams in a single season.

Spencer Evans, who's game-winning field goal came from 25 yards out, improved his career accuracy inside 40 yards to 20 successful tries in 21 attempts (.952).

Purdue's nine-play, 74-yard opening drive resulting in a touchdown was the first opening drive touchdown by an Iowa opponent this season.

Isaac Zico hauled in a 36-yard pass from David Blough for Purdue's first score of the game. Zico has four touchdown receptions in the last four games. He had just one touchdown catch in his previous 16 games at Purdue.
 
Markell Jones rushed for his 18th career touchdown, passing Otis Armstrong (17, 1970-72) for 10th on Purdue's all-time career rushing touchdowns list.

Terry Wright totaled six receptions for a career-high 146 yards and three touchdowns. Wright entered the game with 474 career receiving yards and two previous touchdowns.
