#BOILERNOTES
• Purdue moved to No. 14 in this week's NWCA Division I Coaches Poll ... the No. 14 ranking is the highest for the Boilermakers in a run of 18 straight appearances among the top 25 ... it also matches the highest ranking since Purdue closed out the 2012-13 season ranked 14th.

• The Boilermakers' lineup sports five nationally ranked wrestlers ... Ben Thornton jumped into the national rankings after the Journeymen weekend to join Devin Schroder, Nate Limmex, Dylan Lydy and Christian Brunner ... the last time Purdue had five ranked wrestlers in the lineup was the week of Dec. 3, 2012, with No. 17 Camden Eppert (125); No. 15 Cashé Quiroga (133); No. 14 Ivan Lopouchanski (149); No. 20 Tommy Churchard (157); and No. 15 Braden Atwood (197).

• Just 34 matches in his career, Schroder already ranks 12th on Purdue's career back points top-20 list with 166 ... he has 46 to his credit thus far.

• Thornton is off to a 10-0 start ... the redshirt senior has scored 102 points while holding his opponents to just five points and has not given up a takedown ... six of his wins have been shutouts ... seven wins have resulted in bonus points (4 MD, 3 TF) ... his four major decisions are the most he's had in a season during his career ... his three technical falls are the most he's had in a season during his career.

• Purdue's dual lineup features a balanced mix of veterans and new faces ... during his career, Thornton has started 44 of 51 duals, owning a dual record of 31-13 ... Limmex has started 31 of 34 duals and has a career dual record of 19-12, while Lydy has started all 34 duals the past two seasons with a record of 21-13.

• D. Schroder and Cole Wysocki take over at 125 and 165, respectively, due to the graduation of Luke Welch and Jacob Morrissey ... Wysocki, a redshirt junior, makes the move to 165 after wrestling his first two seasons at 157 ... redshirt freshman Parker Filius, 2017 USA Wrestling Junior Folkstyle national champion and a four-time Montana High School Association class A champion, made his dual debut for the Boilermakers with a pair of pins.

• Brunner returns to action for the Boilermakers after wrestling at 92 kg for Team USA at the U23 World Championships in Bucharest, Romania, on Nov. 17 ... Brunner used 1:45 to dispose of Zoltan Gergen of Romania to move into the quarterfinals, where he met two-time age-group World bronze medalist Bohdan Hrytsay of Ukraine ... an arm throw by Hrytsay led to four points and a fall for the Ukrainian in 1:47 ... Brunner finished his first international competition at 1-1.
