WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue women's soccer midfielder Hannah Melchiorre was recognized on the Google Cloud Academic All-District Team as a second team member. The award, selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), honors student-athletes throughout the nation for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Melchiorre, a biochemistry major, holds a perfect 4.0 grade-point average (GPA) as a sophomore and has appeared in all 37 games since joining the Purdue family. The Thunder Bay, Ontario native has produced 18 points throughout her career, including four assists in her second year. During the 2018 campaign, Melchiorre accumulated 980 minutes on the pitch, which includes 103 minutes in the double-overtime stalemate against then-ranked No. 25 West Virginia and 90 minutes in the double-overtime victory against in-state foe Indiana.

The honor marks the first for a Boilermaker since 2013 when Mollie Kuramoto earned First Team recognition as a midfielder.
