THE KING OF MACKEY: Tommy Luce by PURDUE ATHLETICS on Exposure
It happened innocently enough. First, a reverse layup off a crossover. Then an offensive rebound and a Eurostep left-handed reverse layup. In the Midnight hour, it happened. While leading off Sportscenter following a blowout win over Lipscomb, Scott Van Pelt dubbed Tommy Luce the "King of Mackey". Since then, he's developed his a cult following, with chants of "LUUUUUCCCCEEEEE" raining down from the Mackey Arena rafters. He's developed his own line of 80s-style workout videos called "Let's Get Luce". To top it off, Luce is one of the best teammates you will find, typically arriving early and staying late to work on his game. Tommy loves being a Purdue Boilermaker. And it shows in everything he does.
