WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - There aren't many like him. He could be confused for an outside linebacker or a strong safety. At 6-feet, 6-inches and 220 pounds, Nojel Eastern is not a prototypical guard. A defensive menace (ask Penn State's and NBA Draft pick Tony Carr) who did a lot of little things last year, Eastern will be thrust into a more-prominent role as a sophomore. A tireless worker who is an athletic freak, Eastern can take smaller guards into the post or beat bigger players off the dribble. Eastern has all the tools to be an outstanding player at Purdue while causing headaches for opponents on both ends of the floor.
