WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The second day of the ITA Regional Tournament held in Knoxville, Tennessee comes to a close.
In the second round of singles Mateo Julio defeated Francisco Rocha of Middle Tennessee State University 6-3, 6-0. In the third round, Julio played against Andrew Rogers of University of Tennessee, winning 6-4, 2-6, 6-1. He will play Hendrik Inno of Belmont tomorrow at 11 a.m.
Julian Saborio won against O. Anderson of Autin Peay 6-2, 6-3. Saborio will play Kevin Huempfner of University of Kentucky tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.
Maksymilian Rapuk defeated Danilo Kovacevic of Ball State moving him forward to play tomorrow against Max Rauch of Middle Tennessee State University at 9:30 a.m.
Franz Luna defeated Sean Bailey of IUPUI 6-4, 6-4. He will play again tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
Stephan Koenigsfest fell to University of Kentucky's Theo McDonald 6-4, 6-3.
Dominik Sochurek fell to Antonio Cembellin of Indiana University 7-6, 6-3.
In doubles play Saborio and Athell Bennett played Joan Valy and Jake Briggs of Belmont, winning 8-7(4). Tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. the duo will play Fabian Penzkofer and Kevin Huempfner of University of Kentucky.
Luna and Koenigsfest fell to Middle Tennessee State's Max Rauch and Francisco Rocha 8-5.
Sochurek and Julio lost to Vanderbilt's Cameron Klinger and Billy Rowe 8-7(4).
