Purdue junior Micaela Farah added to her list of amateur accomplishments over the weekend.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue junior Micaela Farah added to her list of amateur accomplishments over the weekend, claiming the ladies title at the second-annual Amateur International Tournament of the Serrezuela Country Club near Bogotá, Colombia. The Peruvian native finished three-over par, 291, including back-to-back rounds of two-under par, 70, on the final two days of the tournament.
 
Sunday's win marked the second international victory of the summer for Farah, as she topped the field at the 88th Brazilian Amateur Championship on July 8 in Rio de Janeiro. Her four-round score of 72-69-71-76=288, gave her a two-stroke edge on second place. She also competed at the 2018 South American Games in Cochabamba, Bolivia, taking eighth place with a score of 12-over par, 300, including an opening-round score of even-par, 72.
 
Farah is a two-time All-Big Ten selection for the Boilermakers, including first-team recognition as a freshman in 2017. She had a trio of top-10 individual performances in 2017-18, including a second-place effort at The Dickson and a seventh-place showing at the 3M Augusta Invitational. She earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and was named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar this summer.
