West Lafayette, Ind. – The Purdue women's soccer team looks to wrap up its exhibition stint with No. 14 Notre Dame on Saturday.

The preseason game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Folk Field. While the all-time regular-season series is tied 1-1, this will mark the fifth time the Boilermakers and Fighting Irish have met in exhibition play since the 2014-15 season.

The most recent meeting occurred last August, when Purdue notched a 2-0 victory in South Bend. Sophomores Sarah Griffith recorded the Boilermakers game-winner, scoring in the 53rd minute while Kylie Hase assisted Purdue's final goal of the match.

The exhibition match will be just the second time the Boilermakers have played versus a top-25 team since tying No. 9 Penn State 2-2 on the road October 20, 2017.  Meanwhile, the last time Purdue has hosted a top-25 team was September 25, 2016 when No. 9 Minnesota earned a 2-0 win.

Notre Dame produced its 25th straight NCAA appearance last season. Under first year head coach Nate Norman, five starters will return along with 17 letterwinners from the 2017 squad.

Purdue emerged from the 2017-18 year 10-7-2, 5-4-2 B1G record and a program-best shutout streak of 470 consecutive minutes. Hase returns as Purdue's leading goal scorer after graduating the 2017 Big Ten Forward of the Year and second team All-American Maddy Williams. The Orland Park, Illinois native produced five goals last year, including two game-winners, along with 11 points.
