CHICAGO - Purdue baseball's final two games of the regular season vs. Michigan have been added to the Big Ten Network's television schedule as wildcard selections.
The Purdue-Michigan games Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19 at Alexander Field will be televised live by the BTN. They'll also be streamed live on BTN2Go and Fox Sports Go for fans with a pay-TV subscription.
First pitch of the Friday, May 18 game has been moved back an hour to 7 p.m. ET. Thursday's series opener will remain at 6 p.m. and the Senior Day game Saturday is a 1 p.m. matinee. The final weekend of the regular season traditionally features a Thursday-Friday-Saturday schedule so teams can set up their pitching for the conference tournaments the following week.
Michigan (12-2 B1G) and Purdue (10-4 B1G) are both in the hunt to win the Big Ten title with three conference weekends remaining. Both teams have swept three Big Ten series of at least three games.
The entire Big Ten Tournament will also be televised live by the BTN again this year.
Two of Purdue's games at Minnesota to close the regular season last year were also added to the BTN's schedule as wildcard selections.
Coincidentally, Michigan was the opponent in May 2012 as the Boilermakers clinched the Big Ten title at Lambert Field live on the Big Ten Network. The Wolverines have not won a Big Ten title since 2008.
