WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -
The Boilermakers will compete in the Louisville Invitational on Friday. The meet was originally scheduled for Saturday, but was moved up a day to avoid the forecasted weekend storms. The meet will be the largest for Purdue during the outdoor season as 64 men and women are scheduled to compete. The throwers head west for two days of competition at the Triton Invitational. That meet runs Friday and Saturday in San Diego.

The Purdue women are the only ranked team, either men's or women's at the meet. The 12th-ranked Boilermakers will take on Louisville, Michigan State and Notre Dame. All four schools will compete in the men's and women's competitions.

Purdue's senior-led women's program enters the meet looking to move up the national lists. Co-Big Ten Track Athletes of the Week Devynne Charlton and Symone Black enter with a No. 2 time in the country each. Charlton will compete in the 100-meter hurdles, 100-meter dash and 4x100-meter relay, while Black is scheduled to run the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter dash, both for the first time this season. Brionna Thomas is entered in the 400-meter dash for just the second time this outdoor season. She opened with a time of 51.72 seconds, which ranks third in the country.

The men's and women's high jumpers are back in action for the first time since the Florida Relays. Janae' Moffitt will compete in the women's event, where she is the current Big Ten leader, while Eric Blackman and Rahman Minor are in the men's competition. Blackman and Minor are both in the top 20 nationally this season.
