WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's golf team is back in action Monday, heading to Napa, California for the fifth-annual Silverado Showdown, co-hosted by Oregon and Colorado at the North Course of Silverado Resort & Spa. This is the Boilermakers' second trip to California in as many years, playing at UCLA in 2017, and their first-ever appearance at the Ducks' and Buffalos' annual event.

The Boilermakers are closing in on the postseason with this weekend's action being the first of two tournaments left before the Big Ten Championships, set for April 20-22 at TPC River's Bend in Maineville, Ohio. The Purdue lineup continued to show incredible balance last time out at the Clemson Invitational as senior Marta Martin took the lead spot for the second time in the last three tournaments with a career-best showing. Martin shot five-under par, 211 at The Reserve at Lake Keowee, playing all three rounds at par or better, and carries a streak of five consecutive rounds at par or better into the tournament.

THE FIELD
The fifth-annual Silverado Showdown features a loaded, 17-team field that includes four of the top 10, eight of the top-25 teams in the nation and a heavy Pac-12 Conference contingent. UCLA and USC highlight the list, ranked second and fifth in the nation, respectively, followed closely by No. 6 Stanford and No. 7 Texas. No. 11 Northwestern, No. 13 Arizona State, No. 14 Arizona and No. 18 Colorado bolster the list of teams.
