WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The Purdue men's basketball team had its first glimpse of Little Caesars Arena as it went through its final preparations for Friday's NCAA first-round contest against Cal State Fullerton.

The Boilermakers went through a 45-minute practice at a local high school, practiced for 40 minutes on the Little Caesars Arena floor and went through media obligations to cap off Thursday's activities.

TODAY'S THREE NCAA NOTES
1) Purdue is one of two Big Ten teams to make each of the last four NCAA Tournaments (Michigan State).
2) Purdue is 6-3 all-time against the Big West Conference, but this will be the first meeting between the Boilermakers and Titans. It will be Purdue's first game against a Big West opponent since an 89-64 win over Cal State Northridge on Nov. 13, 2009.
3) Carsen Edwards needs 12 points to become the fourth active player with 1,000 career points. That has happened just twice previously in school history (1988, 2010).
