CHICAGO - A canceled flight Thursday from Midway Airport has led to the cancellation of Purdue baseball's season-opening series at Baylor.
Hundreds of flights were canceled at Midway on Thursday due to fog, including the Boilermakers' flight to Dallas during the two o'clock hour (Central Time). Purdue returned to campus via its team bus Thursday evening and the Baylor series was officially canceled during the trip back to West Lafayette.
The coaching staff is diligently exploring options within the Ohio Valley region for a possible replacement series. Updates will be posted here at PurdueSports.com as they become available.
