| Ricardo Allen A four-year letterwinner as a cornerback for Purdue from 2010 to 2013, Ricardo Allen has become a star safety with the Atlanta Falcons. He made quite an introduction. In his first National Football League start Sept. 14, 2015, Allen intercepted a pass to end the game and give the Falcons a 26-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2016, Allen helped lead Atlanta to Super Bowl LI. He had an interception in both of the Falcons' first two playoff games, picking off Seattle's Russell Wilson and Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers. Allen started all 16 regular-season games, as well as three postseason games, recording 104 tackles and four interceptions. Allen is the Purdue career record-holder with four interceptions returned for touchdowns and ranks second with 13 total picks. He earned Defensive Most Valuable Player honors as a senior. |
