WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue men's basketball senior Vincent Edwards was 1-of-50 players named to the Wooden Award watch list, announced recently by the Los Angeles Athletic Club.

Edwards, a 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward from Middletown, Ohio, was a third-team All-Big Ten honoree and is averaging 13.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game in just 21.3 minutes per outing so far this year. He is shooting 46.7 percent from the field and 90.9 percent from the free throw line.

Edwards needs 334 points, 155 rebounds and 91 assists to become the first Purdue player in school history, and just the third Big Ten player since 1992-93, with 1,500 points, 700 rebounds and 400 assists in a career.
