Thompson averaged 7.4 points and 2.9 assists per game while starting all 35 games for the Boilermakers a year ago. He is the school's career assist / turnover ratio leader and shot 26-of-49 (.531) from long distance and had just seven turnovers in 439 minutes in 15 games against NCAA Tournament teams last year.
