WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Head coach Mark Wasikowski has announced the first step of Purdue baseball's open tryouts process for the 2017-18 school year.
Purdue students interested in participating in open tryouts need to visit the baseball office on the sixth floor of Ross-Ade Pavilion for documentation requirements. There they will check-in with baseball secretary Angela Pickett and be provided with the necessary documents for the tryouts.
All tryout documentation is due no later than noon on Tuesday, Sept. 12 to Pickett in the baseball office. The baseball office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Failure to submit all required documentation by Sept. 12 will result in the student not being allowed to tryout.
Students need to be enrolled in a minimum 12 credit hours at Purdue's West Lafayette campus for the fall semester. Other requirements include...
- Bring proof of a medical physical by a physician within the last 12 months;
- Bring proof of sickle cell blood test results;
- Be registered through the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Center at EligibilityCenter.org
The baseball offices on the sixth floor of the Ross-Ade Pavilion can be accessed via the elevator on the west side of Ross-Ade Stadium, located along Steven Beering Drive.
The actual on-field tryouts will be held at Alexander Field on Thursday, Sept. 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
