WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue volleyball program will hold two intersquad scrimmages this preseason in preparation for the 2017 season. One of the scrimmages is in place of the previously scheduled Alumni Match that has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict.
On Saturday, Aug. 12, fans will have their first opportunity to get a look at the 2017 team as the Boilermakers will compete in the Boilermaker Tune-Up at 1 p.m. ET. Prior to the scrimmage, the team will hold a free Youth Clinic from 10-11 a.m. ET. Those who attend the clinic will receive a free youth general admission ticket for when the Boilermakers take on Rutgers on Saturday, October 21. With limited availability, fans can register by emailing sportspromo@purdue.edu. The following week, Purdue will hold the annual Black & Gold Scrimmage at 5 p.m. ET, on Aug. 19.
The two preseason events lead up to the beginning of the 2017 campaign with opening day set for Aug. 25. The Boilermakers will take on Oral Roberts and Cleveland State before wrapping up the Mortar Board Premier on Aug. 26 against Alabama.
