WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - After leading her club team to a championship in Puerto Rico, Annie Drews is back in the states and training with USA Volleyball. The right side joins the training roster briefly after Val Nichol finished training with the team and has since signed with a club in Poland. The roster changes week-to-week as new athletes are added or removed.
Drews is a two-time All-American, two-time All-Northeast Region and a two-time All-Big Ten selection in her career as a student-athlete at Purdue. The Elkhart, Indiana, native is the most recent Boilermaker to join the 1,000 kill club and is one-of-25 student-athletes in program history to reach the milestone. She registered the program's ninth most kills in a single season as a senior when she finished the 2015 campaign with 518 kills.
