SUGAR GROVE, Ill. - The second round of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships was cancelled Saturday due to thunderstorms. The NCAA has shortened stroke play to a 54-hole format that will include all 24 teams and 12 individuals to decide the eight teams to advance to the match-play championship and individual medalist honors.
Purdue remains tied for ninth place in the team at 27-over par, 315, and is just four shots out of third place. Senior August Kim is tied for the individual lead with Michigan's Elodie Van Dievoet at even-par 72. The Boilermakers will continue play alongside Ohio State and Michigan on Sunday, scheduled to start play at 12:30 p.m. CT on the back-nine of Rich Harvest Farms.
Monday's final-round tee times will be determined based on team standings heading into the final 18 holes of stroke play.
