WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The NCAA announced tee times for the 2017 women's golf championships on Friday, revealing the starting information for the Purdue women's golf team's 17th national championship appearance. The Boilermakers will play the first two rounds with some familiar faces, paired with Big Ten Conference colleagues from Ohio State and Michigan.
The Boilermakers, Buckeyes and Wolverines will be the first teams off the first tee in round one, teeing off at 7:30 a.m. CT at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois next Friday, May 19. This marks the second straight tournament the trio have been marked for the opening group as they opened in the same format at the NCAA Columbus Regional this week at the Scarlet Course at the Ohio State Golf Club.
The Big Ten squads will open day two of championship play going off the back-nine, scheduled to tee off on No. 10 at noon. The tee times for the third round of play will be based on results from the first 36 holes, and then the field will be cut down to the top-15 teams and the top-nine individuals not on an advancing team for the fourth and final round. After 72 holes the field will be pared down to eight teams and they will switch over to match play to decide the NCAA team title.
