TULSA, Okla. - The month of February was a difficult one for the Purdue women's tennis team. The Boilermakers dropped all five of their matches after starting the season 5-1; the team's sole loss was to Dartmouth on Jan. 29 -- the first in its six-match slide. The squad hopes to end that trend Friday as Purdue faces Tulsa at 5 p.m. ET at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
A win over the Hurricanes would even the Boilermakers' season tally as well as the series record. Tulsa leads 2-1 dating back to 2014, but neither team has ever won on its home court. Purdue claimed its one victory during the Boilermakers first trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 2015.
The non-conference dual is also the last for the Boilermakers before they enter the remainder of their Big Ten schedule. Purdue lost to Maryland 5-2 at home in their lone standing conference opener on Feb. 19.
