WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -
The Boilermakers will split and head to a pair of meets this weekend. Twenty-seven student athletes will head to the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas, while six distance runners will head to the Iowa State Invite.

TYSON INVITATIONAL
Purdue will be among 36 teams on the men's side, including nine of the top 20, while the No. 16 Boilermakers are one of 37 schools on the women's side, including 13 of the top 25. On the men's side, the ranked teams include No. 1 Florida, No. 3 LSU, No. 5 Arkansas, No. 8 USC, No. 12 Texas Tech, No. 15 Texas, No. 16 Kansas, No. 17 Colorado and No. 20 Oklahoma State. The women's ranked teams are No. 2 Arkansas, No. 4 USC, No. 5 Florida, No. 6 Kentucky, No. 7 LSU, No. 8 Texas, No. 12 Baylor, No. 13 Kansas State, No. 18 North Carolina State, No. 19 Oklahoma State, No. 24 Harvard and No. 25 Oklahoma.

Big Ten foes Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska and Ohio State are also scheduled to compete at the meet.

The meet will serve as the final tune-up before the Big Ten Championships for several Boilermakers who will get next weekend off. Coach Rolando Greene's squad will look to continue to improve on the impressive season that has featured multiple school records and top 15 marks in the country.

Janae' Moffitt is back in action for Purdue after skipping the Meyo Invitational. The reigning USATF Indiana Athlete of the Month is tied for 11th in the country in the high jump and will be up against a tough field, including Air Force's Shelley Spires, who is tied for third in the NCAA. Sarah Loesch is also in the mix for Purdue and the sophomore has had a great year in the weight throw. She has improved from week to week and is ranked 16th in the country heading into the meet.

On the men's side, Obokhare Ikpefan, Shawndail McLaren and Kinard Rolle will represent the Boilermakers in a loaded 400m dash field. The top two 400m in the country are scheduled to compete in the meet. Malcolm Dotson will have a great opportunity to improve his 60m and 200m dash times as he'll be up against some of the fastest individuals in the country in both events.

IOWA STATE INVITE
Jaret Carpenter is the only Boilermaker on the men's side, while Emma Benner, Mary Abramson, Alyssa Christoffer, Grace Lachmund and Kiara McIntosh will compete for the women. McIntosh will compete in the 800m run, while Benner, Abramson, Lachmund and Christoffer will be in the 5k. Carpenter will compete in the men's 5k.
