WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Boilermaker softball program, which is in its first year under head coach Boo DeOliveira, has announced the first step of the open tryouts process.
Purdue students interested in participating in tryouts need to visit the softball office on the sixth floor of Ross-Ade Pavilion and present the following completed documents to softball secretary Angela Pickett by August 31:
- Proof of a medical physical completed by a physician within the past year
- Proof of sickle cell blood test results
- A completed athletic medical waiver form (available at the link above)
- Class schedule
- Insurance card
Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours for the fall semester and also must be registered through the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Center at EligibilityCenter.org.
The softball office on the sixth floor of the Ross-Ade Pavilion can be accessed via the elevator on the west side of Ross-Ade Stadium, located along Steven Beering Drive. The actual on-field tryouts will take place at the Boilermaker Softball Stadium during the first few weeks of the fall semester.
