Beginning at approximately 9:30 a.m. ET (give or take 15 minutes), a live stream will allow Boilermaker fans everywhere the opportunity to watch the first practice and to ask questions via Twitter. Airing courtside, the show will be hosted by director of operations Elliot Bloom and associate athletics communications director Chris Forman. It will feature live footage of the first practice, as well as discussions of offseason topics ranging from the Spain trip to general Big Ten talk. During the conversations, fans will have the opportunity to ask questions via Twitter using the hashtag #AskPurdueBB.
Saturday morning, the Boilermakers will begin their first of 30 preseason practices in preparation for the season opener against McNeese State on Nov. 11 at Mackey Arena. Purdue will face Southern Indiana in an exhibition game Nov. 1 at Mackey Arena.
The Boilermakers return three starters and eight letterwinners from last year's team that posted a 26-9 record and was ranked in the nation's top 25 all year long. This year's team is ranked in the top 20 of nearly all preseason polls.
Mini plans and single-game tickets will go on sale to the general public online Oct. 1, and tickets for the Villanova and Indiana games will only be available with the purchase of mini plans and season tickets.
