Complete 2016-17 Schedules: Men / Women

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ââ'¬" Seven home meets, including the women's opportunity to host the Big Ten Championships in February, highlight Purdue swimming & diving's 2016-17 schedules.

The Boilermaker Aquatic Center is set to host the Big Ten Championships for the second year in a row, but it will be the first time the women's meet (Feb. 15-18) is held in West Lafayette since 2010. The men's Big Ten Championships (Feb. 22-25) are being hosted by Ohio State this year.

Both the men's and women's NCAA Championships will be at a familiar location. The IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI in Indianapolis is hosting the national championship meets in March. Indianapolis also hosted both the men's and women's meets in 2013, the year Casey Matthews won a national title in 3-meter diving.

IUPUI's natatorium will also be the site of a new Big Ten vs. USA Swimming All-Star Meet, set for the weekend of Nov. 12 to 13. The Big Ten worked in conjunction with USA Swimming and the Big Ten Network to establish a two-day meet that will feature the league's top swimmers vs. the U.S. National Team. Live television coverage from the BTN is expected to be in the mix. The Big Ten's top three returning swimmers in each event at the 2016 Big Ten or NCAA Championships will be automatically selected for the conference team. Each men's and women's team from around the league will be represented by at least two swimmers regardless of their times, with the remainder of the Big Ten team filled out by coaches selections. Current student-athletes on the U.S. National Team will swim for the Big Ten squad, but alumni will represent Team USA.

The Boilermakers will hit the road for their fall invitational meets. The swimmers will travel to Christiansburg, Virginia, for the Virginia Tech Invitational. The divers will remain closer to home and compete at the IUPUI Invitational. Both meets are set for Nov. 17 to 19.

Purdue opens its season with two home meets the weekend of Oct. 21 to 22, hosting Miami (Ohio) for a dual meet Friday evening and the annual multi-team Indiana Intercollegiates on Saturday afternoon. The Boilermakers don't compete again until January when the thick of the home schedule takes place. Over three consecutive weekends in January, Purdue will welcome four conference rivals to the Boilermaker Aquatic Center. Head-to-head duals against Michigan State (Jan. 13) and Indiana (Jan. 21) are followed by the annual two-day Big Ten Triple Duals with Minnesota and Northwestern (Jan. 27-28). The Boilermaker Aquatic Center will host the Big Ten Triple Duals for the first time since 2014.

Sites for the USA Diving Winter Nationals (likely Dec. 13-18) and NCAA Zone C Diving Championships (March 9-11) have yet to be announced. Zones are likely to be held in Bloomington, Indiana.

Purdue will compete in South Bend and Iowa City in the weekends before and after Halloween. The annual co-ed dual with Notre Dame is set Oct. 28. The following Saturday (Nov. 4), the Boilermakers are scheduled to compete against Iowa and Missouri State in a triple dual hosted by the Hawkeyes.

After traveling to Hawaii during the 2013-14 campaign and South Florida last season, Purdue will be remaining at home this year for its winter training camp during the semester break.
