WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ââ'¬" The Purdue women's tennis team, along with four student-athletes, received ITA academic honors Thursday.
For the fifth time in six seasons, the Boilermakers were tabbed as an ITA All-Academic Team. The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
Andjela Djokovic, Claudia Escribens and Nicole Robinson each received their second ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition of their respective careers. Krisztina Kapitany rounded out the group of honorees with her first ITA Scholar-Athlete nod. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a student-athlete must be a letterwinner, have had a GPA of at least 3.50 for 2015-16 and have been enrolled at their present institution for at least two semesters.
