WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ââ'¬" The Purdue men's tennis team, along with a trio of student-athletes, received ITA academic honors Thursday.
For a third consecutive season, the Boilermakers were named an ITA All-Academic Team. The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
Matt Bouggy and Lucas Dages each received their second ITA Scholar-Athlete award of their respective careers, while Gergely Madarasz earned his first. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a student-athlete must be a letterwinner, have had a GPA of at least 3.50 for 2015-16 and have been enrolled at their present institution for at least two semesters.
